Carnival Cruise Line’s Sales and Trade Marketing team received two gold and two silver 2018 Magellan Awards in Travel Weekly’s annual competition. All four awards were bestowed in the Cruise Marketing–Web Marketing/Advertising Category. Carnival’s Facebook page for travel agents received a gold award for its effectiveness as a trade communications platform. The page is run by Adolfo Perez, senior vice president of sales and trade relations, and currently has more than 37,000 followers and over 36,000 likes. The other gold Magellan was earned for the innovative “What’s Your Carnival IQ?” Facebook contest that tested travel agents’ knowledge about the Carnival brand and onboard product. Carnival Corporation’s three largest North American cruise brands and the top cruise retail organizations, travel agencies and agents from across the continent gathered in San Diego, California, last night for the presentation of the World’s Leading Cruise Lines Excellence Awards 2018. Carnival Cruise Line will visit agents on its popular festival- inspired “Agentpalooza” bus tour from June 11-14 with stops throughout Southern California.  Hosted by Carnival’s Senior Vice President of Sales & Trade Marketing Adolfo Perez and the line’s sales leadership team, each tour stop includes five different areas featuring specific entertainment and sales and marketing activities.   Adolfo Perez, a 36-year veteran of Carnival Cruise Line, has been appointed senior vice president of sales and trade marketing. Perez has been serving as vice president of sales and trade marketing since 2015. Under his leadership, Carnival has rolled out several successful initiatives and programs to reinvigorate and fortify relationships with travel agents and reestablished partnerships with various associations.
